This week of work is so staggered that I think I am getting too much of the holiday mood. Now is the typical syndrome. 11.30pm and I am still not in bed to prepare for tomorrow's work. I think I had tuned my body to the routine hours I have to wake up already. So much so I am starting to abuse it again (i.e. not sleeping at 10.30pm or so which I should be to get the full 8hrs rest).
It's Deepavali restday today. I woke up at 9am to find myself way too early to be up, so I went in back again till 11am. Took a shower before heading out to Tmall to meet my mama. Went to have traditional coffee, kaya & butter toast with soft boil eggs at "not-so-traditional Ya Kun". Expensive things they make, all I can say. This week they have a daily $2 promotion, so its kinda worth to check them out. Tuesday is ice-cream toast with coffee/tea. I had choc chips toast *yummy*.
Went down to East Point @ Simei after breakfast. Visited Bega, the store I had a little agrument with mum last week. That persistent salesgal still remember us. Dare she have the cheek to say that she remember I tried that top the last time. I have not complain you for being to hardselling ok? Anyway, after spending an hr in the store & trying out at least 10 skirts, I walked out with BIG damage. $111 big bucks for 3 simple skirts.. This point of time I am really questioning why human needs clothes? Fashion? Security? or Protection? I wish we were back to the Eve & Adam days.. At least the damage on my already minute pay is lesser. Picked up groceries from NTUC followed by a char kway tiao at the coffeeshop before coming home.
Came home and started surfing, watched some tv and had another bite (junk food - MacDonalds, milo & Meiji biscuits). The news on TV then shocked the daylight out of me. They found lead & parasites eggs in kimchi. Last week, my mama's friend just came home from Korea with a packet of "Da Chang Jing" kimchi for us and we cooked half a pack in soup. Had it and now the news.... *sweat*. But after verifying I think its a dispute between China & Korea. I believe the other half pack I have in the fridge is edible.. *cross my fingers* Like what Hui has advised, I should stir it abit with the chopsticks tomorrow nite and play "Jin Tian Yi" to see if I can find any mystery in the pack or not. So for now.. NO NO to kimchi~
Okie dok, enough of rattling. It's bedtime.. Nite folks & have a good Hari Raya~
