Woke up this morning at 830am. We have a get-together session at Ann's place in Queensway. For labourous work to get the wedding preparation work done.
Gathered at 11plus, did some confetti cutting, some mingle and warming up getting to know the sisters better before we had pizza delivered for lunch. Discussed the "整人计划". I also don't know where all my ideas came from. It was like, one of the gals suggest something and there it goes, it just sparks me off and an idea would come out from the plot she provided. I must say it takes a genius to be this witty...Hee Hee Hee. But I am glad we managed to come with a few "可以整出笑料的好点子" But after meeting some of the boys troop later in the afternoon, I think we gals should have some challenges liao. They are not that "easy to handle" afterall. But I still hope that the boys would be sporting enough to fulfil our tasks before we open up the door to let the groom have the bride.
After lunch, we went back to the production line again. Spent the next 2 hrs packing the tokens guests gets to bring home and putting on the tags.
I would be emcee on Ann's big day, and I've got to meet the other "half" as well. The male emcee, Jave - a tall, dark, handsome, 2 yrs my junior, graduated from UK boy. I must say his quite intimidating to work with. Discussed with the couple how the flow of the dinner would be and where we should come in. But the boys side seems least worried. Very relaxed mood. Not into detailed plannings. This worries me for I do not want to do last minute work and "karang kabot" with the mike on the stage. Jave, so if u see this, we are supposed to draft the speech out, decide who does the mandarin and who does the ang moh and rehearse. Aiyoh... this is enough to make a 1st timer go nuts liao. Oh he seems very experienced with wedding planning also this boy.. Hmmmm I am going nuts worrying this and that for nothing liao~ Okie *deep breathe* I can always meet up with the gang again and plan more concrete things when the date is closer, after CNY as what he says.. *use fingers count* 2 weeks left to the actual event only~ *knock knees*
Okie okie, enough of destress caused by that boy. Went off at 3plus, and headed to Queensway S.C. That place aint a wonderful mall to go for clothes. I went to ask a tailor how much he or she., not ITS a SHIM charges for an evening dress. That blardy half vege simply brushed me off quoting me $250. When I asked what material you use, he told me anything. I walked out pissed not wanting to make a 3rd query any more. Bad attitude, does not mean you have some one in the store letting u chop radish slash $ already you can use such half past 6 attitude to "entertain" me loh. Anyway his price was a "rob bank" price so even his attitude was better he would never get the deal as well. My neighbourhood tailor was only asking for $100++ for labour charges only, materials I have to source on my own. I shall see if I can get a decent dress or not. If not tailors would be the final resort.
Went to Ikea after QSC. Had a hotdog bun before shopping started. Their hotdog bun is so yummy and healthy, all dogs were cooked in boiling water. I like it alot, with some light mustard and ketchup. Combed their whole level 2 show room before we had dinner at the cafe. My same usual choice of dish when I go to Ikea, swedish meatball. This time I didn't quite enjoy it. Maybe it's due to semi full tummy from the hotdog. But Jim was hungry so we had not choice but to eat early. Tried their highly recommended chicken wing this time, moderate to me for I find it slightly too saltish and the marinates ain't done well to the extend that the meat is nicely soaked with marinates. It was more on the skin only. Had 2 coffee, they really have nice coffee. Had some pasta too, did not like the tomato sauce.
Finished dinner and we went down to level 1 where the picking up of goods come. I bought the 3rd stool today. Same design, we had the pink 1st, then the blue and today the green. I think the stools are phasing out soon cos it was a priced down and stocks are down to the last few pieces, so I grabbed 1. I wanted 2 initially but mum said 1 was nuff. 1 book stand, 2 alarm clocks, 2 hand towels, 1 bath towel are my other possesions today. This is considered little bought for the records set for Ikea visits, hee. I should had also taken the 5 for $2.90 white magazine stand for office use also. Wasted. Home sweet home after paying off. Took a slow bus ride home, I was so tired I even fell asleep on the bus. But it was rejuvernating after that short 30mins nap.
Oh before I forget, it was very sweet of Ann to prepare a small token for all of us, mine was a tea cup set. Ikea's with pink floral print. Very english look, those tat I can serve muffins and cakes with that type. Nice, thank you Ann. She also sew brooches for all of us to wear it on her big day. These brooches are nice, I like those the gals have better then mine thou, I should had swapped with those that were not present today.. Sigh. But still I think I would wear mine on the hand on that day. These hand made brooches are bad culprits too, made the bride broke down in tears in the midst of doing it cos she felt they look ugly. Who said so, they look angelic to me loh..
Okie, my updates are due and so is my bedtime. Tomorrow is another torturous day in office.
Over & out~
