singaporeans really live up to the name: kiasu-ness anywhere there is new shopping malls, cheong. nuff said.
ikea is packed with human especially at the dining restaurant. very "interesting incident" happened right before our eyes as i am meatball-ing.
us(mum, ah yee & me): *eating our dinner happily away after 30mins of seats waiting and 20mins of food Q-ing* Aunty: *sits down at the table that can accomadate 10* *already 6 seats taken up* Aunty: *to my mum* can you pls take up your bag and let me have the chair ah? Mum: cannot, i want to put my bag one so that i can eat at ease. Aunty: Quiet down and signal her husband & kid to go buy food *moments later, 2 uncles left the table* Pregnant Lady: Excuse me are the seats taken? signal to the 4 in front of us? Me: not too sure how many are taken. *look at aunty & the young man sitting beside her* Aunty: *Look at young man* Are the seats taken ah? Young Man: *stares into the blank wide eyes open, MUTE!!* Pregnant Lady (PL): took the seats with her husband. *moments later* PL hubby: Talks to wife on the phone to discuss what he wants to eat Young man: Drags one chair to his side PL hubby: Excuse me this seat is taken Young man: But you never ask me if it was taken wah *-__-'''* Me: *thinking: his wife asked wah* PL Hubby: but my wife was here and she did asked. Young Man: Aiyah, want the chair right? give you lah give you lah* *push chair towards PL hubby PL Hubby: pissed face continues talking to wife on the phone to explain to her what's happening at the table. PL Hubby: nevermind it's okie you can have the chair - gently shift back the chair Young Man: Give you lah *push chair back* Us: *stunt face* anticipating fight coming up or not? PL came back to the table and told hubby they should eat somewhere else & left Young Man's wife came back with a trolley of food Aunty hubby came back with a trolley of food also!!! Aunty quickly shift to the 4 seats infront of us which is now empty. MEGA -___-""" eh the aunty & the young man not one family lai eh meh? no wonder when the PL asked if the seats were taken and aunty looks at the young man he did not response but act dumb. He was actually pissed with aunty sitting down beside him and not asking if that seats were taken *he had a family of 3 - 2 adults & 1 child* and he had taken a child's seat which aunty has happily sticked her butt on the chairs he prepared for his family. Us: -__-'' after the families has finished and left. lucky they never fight Mum: if they did i would throw my plates & cutleries at them and stare Me: i would throw my meatballs at them
Chey, this young man is seriously weird. why start a commotions after keeping mute leh? these people ah only their immediate family can tahan them.
enuff said: i think i am in love with this ikea's stool. i have 1 green, 1 pink, 1 blue & now a new member light pink: FOUR :) Pls don't come up with any more new colours okie dear Ikea, if not my place would be mistaken as a childcare centre in no time.
giant is a horrible place, price is not anywhere cheaper. we have singaporeans fighting with blanga, cheena, thais, fili & many other nationalities. the location of the hypermart favours those in tampines dormitory lah.. soon u will know that place will be Little India #2
And I think our HBP will be happy to see this scene. their more fruits & vegetable campaign is really responding well... it is a long tiring day...
for now: i am never ever going to return to the"eastern vivocity" any sooner unless there is a need to buy some furnitures...
